The Deposit Taking Supervision Sector, Central Team is seeking a Senior Manager, Stress Testing, to take a leadership role in the design and execution of stress test programs with federally-regulated financial institutions, implement future development of such programs at OSFI, as well as develop analysis and policy advice as pertains to the outcomes and results of stress testing exercises. The Senior Manager’s main responsibilities include implementing the strategic direction of the Macro Stress Test program, conducting highly technical quantitative analysis of stress test results and reporting to senior leaders.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in commerce, accounting, business, finance, economics, mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent experience in financial services industry, including critiquing risk management practices and identifying key risk areas.
● Experience in undertaking stress testing programs, including conducting technical quantitative and qualitative analysis, in a regulatory environment or in the *financial services industry.
● Significant experience in presenting views, information, business or policy advice to senior-level decision makers.
* Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms, as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions.

● Experience in the insurance, or wealth management industry.
● Experience in the capital markets trading business and/or experience in market risk analysis with a federally regulated institution.
● Experience in leading teams of people.
ASSET KNOWLEDGE
● Knowledge of financial institution supervisory or regulatory processes.
● Knowledge of the performance indicators in the insurance, or wealth management sector and the information and techniques used in their measurement and management.
● Knowledge of the current and emerging trends and associated risks in the insurance or wealth management industry.
