Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions, on a temporary or permanent basis, within the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, NS.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, sciences, linguistics or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Significant* and recent** experience working in the field of adult education.
Significant* – Significant is normally associated with (3) three years of experience.
Recent** – Recent is normally associated with experience obtained within the past (5) years.

ASSET EDUCATION:
Certification in adult education.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Experience working under the requirements of an academic quality assurance program.
Experience in conducting academic audits.

Knowledge of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) Instructional Design model.

Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

Knowledge of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:
