Duties

The CSC, Health Services is always looking for talented and skilled individuals to join our team. The Regional Coordinator, Quality Improvement and Regional Coordinator, Accreditation play a pivotal role in the health services accreditation obtain (Quality certification standard). The functions are:
-Coordination of the implementation of policies, programs and strategies for the accreditation of departmental health care facilities within the Region.
-Manages accreditation activities and related processes such as survey questionnaires and site visits within the region; coordinates the activities of the Site Coordinators, Quality Improvement and Accreditation, assigned to coordinate accreditation of the health care facilities at their sites.
-Provides advice and contributes to the accreditation of departmental health care facilities, interprets the standards of Accreditation Canada for regional and site staff.
-Reviews the regional information to be entered in the Accreditation Canada Portal, including a quality control process, to ensure the integrity of the information to be submitted.
-Provides expert advice to regional health care facilities on the best approach to meet Accreditation Standards and Required Organizational Practices of Accreditation Canada.
-Coordinates the preparation, dissemination and follow-up of responses (action plans) from departmental health care facilities within the Region to recommendations from Accreditation Canada for submission to departmental headquarters.
-Produces briefings, correspondence related to the accreditation of health care facilities in the region.
-Delivers training and education on accreditation processes to site staff members and managers.
-Monitors the implementation of accreditation policies and standards within the Region.
-Provides information on the accreditation process for personal services and other health staff members and manager of Correctional Services Canada.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field (e.g., health, administration, etc.)

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Significant and recent* experience in researching, analyzing and summarize information from different sources.

Significant and recent* experience in planning, coordinating and promoting projects.

Experience in the preparation and presentation of information and/or training sessions.

Experience in the use of computer and various software packages (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Word).

*Recent and significant experience means experience gained over a period of approximately six (6) months in the past five (5) years whose wealth and scope matches with various tasks.
