When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
You must submit a complete application, consisting of screening questions which clearly demonstrate how you meet the screening criteria (education and experience) and a résumé. The screening questions will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the résumé will only be used to substantiate the information provided.
FOR EACH ESSENTIAL and ASSET CRITERION, please provide concrete examples and the following MANDATORY information:
1. Name of the department or organization where the experience was acquired;
2. Title of the position occupied and duration for which you exercised the functions;
3. Specific details of tasks, projects, or accomplishments demonstrating how the experience was acquired.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions within the Public Service across Canada with various tenures (such as: indeterminate, acting/acting extension, specified period, assignment/secondment, deployment, casual employment etc.), and with various langages requirements and various conditions of employments, which may vary according to the position to be staffed. If a pool is established following this staffing process, all federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) will be able to use it in order to staff similar positions across Canada.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. EDUCATION
ED Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives.
Note:
1.The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
◦A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
◦An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES
EX1 Experience providing administrative support services.
EX2 Experience providing client service.
EX3 Experience in using a computer and the following software: Word, Excel and Outlook.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
AED Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program related to Records Management.
EXPERIENCES
AEX1 Experience working in a records environment.
AEX2 Experience working in the Federal government.
AEX3 Experience using GCDocs as a records management system (such as GCDOCS, IRIMS, LiveLink, or FORMOST).
Various language requirements
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this process which may be used to staff positions with various linguistic requirements such as English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, and Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB.

For this selection process, email is the most effective way to communicate with you and for you to be invited for evaluations. Your application in this inventory will be active for 180 days. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 30 days before the end of your active period. If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer be considered for this inventory. Should your application become inactive while the inventory is still open, a notice will be posted to your account indicating that your application has expired; you may select the link Update my Inventory Status to reaffirm your interest.
Extractions from this selection process will be ongoing. Results from previous extractions may be deemed valid for future extractions. You can only be assessed (screening, exam, interview or reference) once per extraction.
Please note that the first extraction from this selection process may result in a candidate assessment as early as July 26, 2017. Failure to complete assessments may result in the rejection of your candidacy.
Acknowledgment of receipt of applications will not be sent. We will contact candidates who passed the online exam.
Please note that candidates (including employees of the Public Service) will not be considered to be in travel status or on government business and that travel costs will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.
Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
