Intent of the process

A pool of partially qualified or fully qualified candidates may be established in order to staff similar positions with various tenures, various bilingual linguistic profiles and various security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Completion of a post-secondary school program, certificate or diploma related to the position, such as paralegal studies or legal studies OR an acceptable combination of education, training or experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

Extensive* and recent** experience as a legal assistant or secretary.

Experience in proof-reading legal documents.

Experience in transcribing information from voice recordings or handwritten notes or electronic transmission of legal texts.

Experience in using a computer and the Microsoft Office Suite software.

Definition:
* “Extensive” is defined as an experience associated with having performed a broad range of activities which is normally acquired over a period of one (1) year.
** “Recent” is defined as within the last two (2) years.
