Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is the federal department at the forefront of implementing the new Innovation and Skills Plan for Canada.
The new Plan is focused on three areas for action – People and Skills, realizing the most skilled, talented, creative and diverse workforce in the world; Research, Technology, Commercialization, pushing the boundaries on world leading discovery, innovation and global science excellence; and, Companies, Investment and Scale, growing Canadian businesses to compete globally.
An organization of approximately 5,000 employees and a budget of around $2.5 billion annually, the scope of the department’s activities are wide-ranging and the opportunities to contribute are many. Experience for both streams:
Significant* and recent** experience in providing communications or marketing advice to managers or executives.
Significant* and recent** experience in managing multiple sensitive or ***complex communications/ marketing projects/files simultaneously.
Significant* and recent** experience in writing or coordinating the development of communications/marketing products.
Significant* and Recent** experience in developing and implementing strategies, such as: communications event planning, web, social media, media relations and marketing.
*Significant experience: Refers to experience acquired over a period of two years
