Work environment

The Evaluation, Performance Measurement and Review Branch (EPMRB) at Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) is currently seeking dynamic, goal-oriented and highly flexible individuals to join its team at the EC-03 level.

EPMRB's evaluation and performance measurement activities are focused on supporting the Department in achieving results for Canadians and the renewal of the relationship with Indigenous peoples.

THESE POSITIONS ARE WITH THE AUDIT AND EVALUATION SECTOR IN GATINEAU. However, if you are found qualified and if opportunities become available, you could be considered in other sectors of the Department of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada.

EDUCATION:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

NOTE: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

A Degree is a baccalaureate or higher level degree, as established by educational authorities, unless the type of credential is specified in the relevant Qualification Standard.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience contributing to the design and conduct of evaluations and/or social science research projects;

Experience collecting and analyzing information and data;

Experience contributing to the writing of evaluations and/or research reports.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
( Not essential, but preference may be given to candidates who possess asset qualifications).

A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be considered an asset;

Experience working in an evaluation and/or performance measurement unit;

Experience working with stakeholders such as central agencies, other federal departments, academia, non-government organizations, or civil society;

Experience using word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.

Knowledge of the mandate of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada;

Knowledge of the federal government’s policies and standards on Evaluation and Performance Measurement;
