Who can apply: Persons residing or employed in Ottawa (ON) and within a 135 kilometer radius of Ottawa (ON), within Canadian territory, extending to, amongst others, Kingston (ON), Pembroke (ON), Maniwaki (QC), Rigaud (QC).

Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to staff one (1) English or French Essential determinate position for a period of six (6) months less a day.

A pool of fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within Elections Canada for a specified period of six (6) months less a day with an English or French linguistic profile.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Post-Secondary school diploma in desktop publishing or graphic design, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

Extensive* experience in providing desktop publishing and graphic design services

Extensive* experience using graphics and desktop publishing software such as Adobe In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc.

Experience with both MAC and PC platforms

* Extensive means at least three years of experience.

Note: Candidates who get to the interview stage will be asked to present a portfolio demonstrating their desktop publishing and/or graphic design skills
