This process has multiple streams. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions within various programs at Transport Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada for permanent or temporary vacancies.

EDUCATION:
ED1: A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
ALL STREAMS
EX1: Significant* experience in developing working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
EX2: Experience in the application or interpretation of legislation, policy or regulations.
EX3: Significant* experience in writing program documents for Senior Management**, such as briefing notes, Memorandum of Understanding, project proposal submissions, procedures, etc.
EX4: Experience in managing projects or programs involving a multi-disciplinary team.
EX5: Experience in leading the research and analysis of policy or program issues, and providing strategic recommendations to Senior Management**.
*Significant experience is defined as a minimum of three (3) years.
**Senior Management is defined as Director level or above.
STREAM A: Marine Safety and Security
EX1: Experience within a regulatory development team contributing to the coordination of required products in accordance with the regulatory lifecycle.
STREAM B: Program Development and Delivery
EX1: Experience in financial analysis.
STREAM C: Transportation Security
EX1: Experience in providing guidance to a stakeholder or client community.
STREAM D: Rail Occupational Health and Safety Program
EX1: Experience in planning and designing an Occupational Health and Safety program.

EDUCATION:
AED1: Successful completion of post-secondary degree from a recognized educational institution.
AED2: Completion of training, courses or certificate in emergency management or security.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
AOC1: Holder of a CAN/CSA-ISO 31000, Q850, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or any other type of related auditor designation.
AOC2: Holder of a Risk Management certificate, or equivalent experience.
