An essentially qualified pool will be established from this process. Depending on the position(s) being staffed, additional asset qualifications, organizational needs, operational requirements or conditions of employment may be required and candidates in the essentially qualified pool may be assessed and required to meet these additional qualifications in order to be appointed.
Official language proficiency: An English essential pool will be created. Should candidates indicate in his/her application/resume that he/she possesses other various language profiles such as Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, and CCC/CCC, he/she will be assessed through Second Language Evaluation testing at a later date.

Successful completion of two year of secondary school; or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
Experience providing administrative support services OR acceptable training* in the administrative support services field
*Acceptable training is considered successful completion of an Office Administration / Office Education program or currently enrolled in an Office Administration / Office Education program
Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel
Experience providing administrative support services in a policing environment
Experience using a human resources information management system such as PeopleSoft

Candidates from outside the federal public service may be required to pay for all assessment, travel and relocation expenses.
The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation of proof of Canadian Citizenship prior to appointment. Other candidates may also be asked to provide this documentation at various stages in the selection process. The following documents will be accepted as proof: Provincial or territorial birth certificate; Naturalization certificates (issued prior to Jan. 1, 1947); Registration of Birth Abroad certificates (issued between Jan. 1, 1947 and Feb. 14, 1977); Certificates of Retention; Citizenship certificates.
