Successful completion of an accredited pharmacy technician certification program.

Degree equivalency

Previous experience in providing technical services in a hospital or corrections pharmacy.

Information on language requirements

Knowledge of Brand Name and Generic Drug Equivalencies and dosages of commonly used drugs.
Knowledge of Narcotic and Controlled Drugs and their usage and regulations.

Ability to effectively communicate with others.
Ability to monitor accuracy and work under pressure.
Ability to organize and prioritize work

College Diploma in Pharmacy Technician
CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician Certificate (or equivalent)

Degree equivalency

Knowledge of various drug distribution systems
Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems – WinRx, OSCAR.

Ability to lift 15kgs
