This position is responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Life Insurance Group. The Life Insurance Group is a division of the Insurance Supervision Sector at OSFI. Activities include supporting communication with stakeholders, and coordinating meetings and support material. This responsibility requires daily administrative and financial operations of the office including managing calendars, organizing meetings with senior internal and external stakeholders, drafting, preparing, and editing correspondence and reports, , filing and archiving of reports, documents and correspondence in paper and electronic formats, liaising and coordinating with other executive and administrative assistants and other internal and external stakeholders, arranging travel, preparing expense claims, and liaising with building management and other vendors. The candidate must be results and detailed oriented, with a demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● Successful completion of post-secondary education OR Completion of secondary education and approximately 3-5 years of applicable work experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant experience in providing administrative support in the financial services industry*.
*Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions.
● Significant experience in managing a Supervisor’s calendar, organizing meetings and making travel arrangements.
● Significant experience with Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point).
● Significant experience in drafting and/or reviewing various documents (e.g. emails memos, reports and various correspondences).
● Significant experience in working with an electronic records management system.
● Experience in monitoring divisional budgets.
