Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a bilingual linguistic profile of BBB/BBB and a RCMP Top Secret security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be created, and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Extensive* experience in developing, implementing, managing and evaluating communications strategies or plans
Significant** years of experience in facilitating media events
Extensive* experience providing strategic advice to a wide variety of internal (including senior managers) and external stakeholders
Significant** years of experience in developing various communications products, services and strategies.

* Extensive refers to a minimum of five years of experience
** Significant refers to two or more years of experience

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of a post-secondary degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science, Social Sciences or Public Administration from a recognized institution.

Degree equivalency

Willingness to travel.
Willingness to work overtime as and when required and on short notice.
