You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Two (2) REFERENCES with their PHONE NUMBER and EMAIL ADDRESS. You must provide at least the name of one (1) current or previous supervisor. Please note that your referees must have an in-depth and direct knowledge of your work, and must be able to answer specific questions pertaining to your achievements and strengths. Reference must have worked with you for at least six (6) months within the last five (5) years.
This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position. Also, a pool of candidates may be established to staff similar positions in the Department of National Defence in the future with various tenures, such as indeterminate or specified period. These positions could have various linguistic requirements and various security requirements.

Graduation with a Bachelor Degree from recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in land survey theory and practice or other related field such as geomatics, geographic information systems, geodetic sciences or remote sensing.
E1 - Experience in identifying and analysing business requirements and user needs for the development of target Geomatics capabilities and related IM/IT architectures.
E2 - Experience in the conception, design, development, prototyping and implementation of Geomatics capabilities, technologies, solutions and workflows for geomatics systems.
E3 - Experience in the conduct of feasibility studies and benchmark testing to evaluate and report on new geomatics-related software and hardware capabilities and solutions.
E4 - Experience in leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary team
E5 - Experience in project management.

To hold the title of Commissioned Land Surveyor (CLS) is an asset.
AE1 - Experience in the conception, design development and implementation of a major enterprise GIS system.
AE2 - Experience with some or all of the following software; Esri Portal, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Desktop, ERDAS Apollo, ERDAS Imagine Professional, GeoMedia Professional, Microsoft Project.
AE3 - Experience with Internet applications development.
AK1 - Knowledge of Oracle and/or MS SQL Server database software.
AK2 - Knowledge of Web protocols and standards.
AK3 - Knowledge of Geospatial Data Warehousing technologies and practices.
