The Canadian Coast Guard has a direct and important impact on the lives of Canadians. We help ensure the safe use of Canadian waterways, and we facilitate the smooth functioning of the Canadian economy.
A nationally recognized symbol of safety, Coast Guard serves on three oceans, the St. Lawrence River and Great Lakes, and other major waterways. Operating along the longest coastline in the world and in some of its most difficult weather conditions, CCG operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Providing this high level of service requires a skilled workforce at sea and ashore.
