The purpose of this selection process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff identical or similar bilingual imperative positions with various security requirements and tenures within the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (indeterminate, term, acting, secondment, deployment or assignment).

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Degree from a recognized university in information management or related field or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
NOTE: Acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as completion of high school plus four years in Information Management operations.
Experience in managing the implementation and on-going operations of an information records management system.
Experience in developing information management policies, standards, guidelines and directives.
Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to staff and senior management on Information Management/Knowledge Management issues.
Experience in the planning and management of human* and financial** resources.
* Managing human resources is defined as ongoing supervision of direct reports including such things as assigning work, managing and assessing performance, leave approvals, etc., over an ongoing period of at least 1 year (no breaks).
** Financial management is defined as managing and/or being accountable for a budget, including such activities as monitoring expenditures, forecasting, planning, budget allocation and/or reporting.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
Information on language requirements
General knowledge of information technology principles, functionality, methods and techniques.
Knowledge of Knowledge Management, trends and directives.
Knowledge of federal government legislation and policies, directives and guidelines governing Information Management.
Ability to analyze and interpret, and to provide recommendations to senior management.

5. Various assessment tools may be used in this selection process, such as a written examination, a take-home exam, an interview, references, etc.
