Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in electrical engineering.
Occupational Certification:
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada
Experience in design, integration, testing or troubleshooting of complex electrical or electronic systems.

Information on language requirements
Knowledge of basic physics, electronics, electrical and electromagnetic theory, at a level commensurate with an undergraduate electrical engineering programme.
Ability to assess aircraft electrical and avionic system specifications and performance requirements, as needed to plan and implement test and evaluation programs.
Ability to analyse data collected during the test of avionic systems and evaluate the system for specification compliance.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work with MS Office.
Ability to prepare and review reports on complex engineering issues.

Successful completion of an engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in electromagnetics or avionics.
Experience in avionic and aircraft electrical systems testing, troubleshooting or maintenance.
Knowledge of the theory and principles of electromagnetic environmental effects test requirements, electromagnetic interference analysis principles, measurement systems, antenna systems and electromagnetic propagation theory.
Knowledge of the theory, principles, practices and current technologies of aircraft avionic system design, installation and operation.
Knowledge of technical airworthiness related to electrical, electronic and mechanical systems installed in aircraft.
Knowledge of a graphical programming environment, such as LabVIEW, for instrument control.
Knowledge of MS Office macro implementations using Visual BASIC.
