Intent of the process

The intent is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma OR an *acceptable combination of education, training or experience.

Note: For this process, *acceptable combination is defined as a completion of 2 years of secondary school and a minimum of 5 years in the public service or Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- EX1: Experience in planning the conduct of Counter-Intelligence (CI) investigations or operations.
- EX2: Experience in conducting CI investigations or operations.
- EX3: Experience in conducting liaison with federal, provincial, or municipal security or intelligence agencies.
- EX4: Experience in presenting oral briefings on security or intelligence issues to *senior military or civilian intelligence staff.

*Senior is defined as Major level or above, or equivalent.

- AEDUC1: Successful completion of a recognized Major Case Management (MCM) course.
- AEDUC2: Successful completion of a recognized Counter-Intelligence (CI) Course.
- AEDUC3: Successful completion of a recognized DND or civilian law enforcement investigation course.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- AEX1: Experience working with the military intelligence environment.
- AEX2: Experience working in the role of File Coordinator within a standardized MCM investigative team structure.
- AEX3: Experience in planning the conduct of criminal or security investigations.
- AEX4: Experience in conducting criminal or security investigations.
- AEX5: Experience in conducting investigations in deployed environment(s).

KNOWLEDGE:
- AK1: Knowledge of the mandate, role, responsibilities or practices of CFNCIU (Canadian Forces National Counter-Intelligence Unit).
- AK2: Knowledge of the roles, organization and mission of the Canadian Armed Forces.
- AK3: Knowledge of the organization and mandate of other federal, provincial, or municipal security or intelligence organizations in Canada.

- Must be able to possess a valid Class “G” driver’s license in the Province of Ontario or other provincial equivalent without restrictions.
- Must be able to travel to various locations within the National Capital Region, across Canada and internationally.
