The intent of this process is to staff two (2) determinate positions for one (1) year with a possibility of extension.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff similar or identical positions within the Elections Canada with various tenures (specified period, indeterminate), with various language requirements (English or French Essential, Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, Bilingual imperative CCC/CCC) and various security requirements (Reliability and Secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience acceptable by the manager.
Experience:
**Significant experience in leading teams of subject matter experts and staff in the support of business applications development and maintenance.
*Experience in providing technical advice and guidance to management on the use of technology.
**Significant experience in working on complex IT issues and making recommendations or implementing plans to address issues or problems.
*Experience in dealing with business clients in support of IM/IT systems or IM/IT services.
*Experience representing a team or sector at meetings with internal/external clients; vendors; committees; or working groups.
*"Experience" is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which could normally be acquired over a period of 1 (one) year.
**"Significant experience" is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which could normally be acquired over a period of three (3) or more years within the past five (5) years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
University degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering.
Occupational Certification:
Certification in the IM/IT fields:
• ITIL: Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation
• PMP: Project Management Professional
• Other IM/IT relevant fields
Experience:
*Experience in the administration of contracts, service level agreements, and maintenance/support agreements supporting IM/IT solutions/services.
**Significant experience in applying project management principles and practices such as project charter or project management plan.
*Experience in analyzing and collecting business requirements and definitions.
*Experience in managing business application systems development projects to support business programs and the needs of the IT Sector.
*Experience working on a business intelligence project or delivery team spanning data capture, data movement and data publishing.
*Experience gathering business intelligence and analytics requirements.
*Experience working with technology solutions for Business Intelligence and Analytics.
