Candidates will be asked, as per the application process, to answer screening questions for each essential and asset criteria (education and experience). Candidates will have to provide concrete examples, for each screening question demonstrating how they have acquired the education and experience criteria in 400 words or less. Please note that
it is not sufficient to only state that the qualification is met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Resumes will be used as a secondary source to validate your answers to the screening questions. Failure to clearly demonstrate in your answers how you meet the screening criteria (education and experience) may result in the rejection
of your application.
Note: A cover letter will not be required as the screening questions will
be used for screening purposes.
The process is to staff 10 indeterminate positions within the Strategic Policy Branch. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions within Environment and Climate Change Canada with various linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC), as well as various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment, acting) and various security clearance levels according to the position being staffed.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Education:
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
• Experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Explorer.
• Experience using financial systems and providing services in administrative fields such as human resources, finance or budgeting.
• Experience in making travel arrangements and reconciling travel claims.
• Experience in organizing meetings, teleconferences and events (managing logistics) and coordinating material for meetings.
Asset Experience:
• Experience using the HRG travel management system, for arranging travel and preparing travel expense claims.
• Experience using the SAP financial tool (expense tracking, credit card and budget).
• Experience in managing the day-to-day operations and coordinating the agenda of a senior manager’s office.
• Experience in using a document tracking system such as CCM Mercury.
