Education:

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

Recent* and significant** experience in developing or maintaining web applications using ASP.NET and either C# or VB.NET.

Significant** experience querying relational databases using SQL.

Experience providing recommendations, advice or guidance to clients, co-workers or management on various technical issues such as enterprise software upgrades, development or maintenance of application systems.

Experience executing and managing minor IT projects such as enterprise software upgrades.

* Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.

** Significant experience is defined by the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex activities which are normally acquired over a period of two (2) years.

Education:

- Completion of a university degree from a recognized university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related IT field.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

- Experience in delivering IT services in a small department or agency***.

- Experience in configuring, developing or supporting MS Dynamics CRM solutions.

- Experience developing an external website complying with the most recent TBS standards on Web usability, Web accessibility and web interoperability.

***Small department or agency is defined as an organization which has less than 1,000 occupied positions.

Knowledge and ability to design, define, construct, enhance, support and maintain application software on one or more platforms.

Knowledge and ability to apply the principles of business analysis in the planning, reengineering, requirement gathering for government business environments, operations, processes and practices.

Knowledge and ability to apply the methods, practices and policies that are used in the design and the management of databases.

Knowledge and ability to perform testing of software and/or hardware using a systematic approach (i.e., the orderly progression of testing in which software and/or hardware elements are combined and tested until the entire system has been integrated).

Ability to communicate effectively orally
