Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff a temporary full-time position.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions at the AS 05 group and level within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential or Bilingual), various methods for staffing a bilingual position (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma: a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Planning, organizing and carrying out administrative or operational activities;

Achieving project objectives without daily supervision;

Maintaining logs, files, records, databases, or inventories;

Representing, liaising and collaborating with various groups from governments, indigenous groups/organizations and with the private sector.

Maintaining basic equipment and work sites;
Overseeing infrastructure in permafrost environment (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut or Nunavik).

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice;
Ability and willingness to be available on standby during off duty hours on an occasional basis.
