ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are looking to add a new member to our Recruitment Team at NRCan to help us find ways to disrupt the status quo; to do things differently, be innovative and explore new ways of working. The ideal candidate is creative and comfortable with experimenting and learning new things.
This new team member will be responsible for leading recruitment and outreach initiatives and programs, developing new tools, liaising with academic institutions, and coordinating social media outreach campaigns. Therefore, a strong staffing and/or recruitment background to help develop new strategies to recruit diverse talent is required.

This Corporate Recruitment Advisor position is located at the Booth Street Complex, situated within Ottawa’s Little Italy where restaurants and small businesses abound. Close to Dows Lake and the Rideau Canal, we are a few short minutes from the O-Train Carling station and just steps to several bus stops. This location also features a daycare facility and a fitness centre accessible by employees. Current workplace wellness programs include free yoga, running programs, fitness and dance classes.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organization development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
NOTE: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the PE group on October 1, 1999, who do not possess the education level described above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.
Experience in providing strategic advice* and recommendations on staffing or recruitment

Willingness and ability to travel is a requirement as some of our outreach activities are held outside the National Capital Region.

The successful candidate of this selection process is entitled to reimbursements for relocation upon agreement to the letter of offer.
