You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Ed1 - Successful completion of two (2) years of a post secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Note: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

Degree equivalency

E1: Significant* experience working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams on IM/IT complex** projects.

E2: Experience delivering IM/IT products or services using defined methodologies and best practices.

E3: Experience in providing IM/IT advice and guidance to various audiences such as management (Managers or Directors), colleagues or clients.

E4: Experience gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources to support system solutions development and implementation.

E5: Experience developing or implementing enterprise or complex** solution architectures.

DEFINITIONS:
* Significant is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex related activities for a minimum of three (3) years within the last (5) years.

** Complex is understood to mean solution/project with two (2) or more of the following:
- A multi- platform set of technologies requiring integration;
- A multi-tier diverse set of technologies requiring integration;
- Requirements for high reliability and availability;
- A program of national/international or significant corporate scope;
- Requirements for high availability (99% availability) mission critical (7/24) system;
- Involving multidisciplinary teams.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

AEd 1 - Graduation with a *degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

*Degree: A baccalaureate or higher level degree, as established by educational authorities.

AEd2 - Valid TOGAF or relevant EA certification.

Degree equivalency

AE1: Experience developing architectural documents/artefacts related to one or more of the following:
- application architecture;
- database architecture;
- data management architecture;
- data quality architecture;
- business architecture;
- security architecture;
- technology architecture.

AK1: Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices within an IM/IT environment.

Organizational Needs:
