You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. EDUCATON:
AED1: A secondary school diploma and completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
NOTE: Normally, an acceptable training program in electronics technology involves the completion of two to three years of post-secondary study in this subject.
EXPERIENCE :
EEX1: Experience operating computer software, such as, Microsoft Office Suite Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
EEX2: Experience providing client service.
EEX3: Experience in the installation and servicing or troubleshooting of electronic access control or intrusion detection or closed circuit video equipment (CCVE) systems.
ASSET EDUCATION:
AED1: Successful completion of the Canadian Security Association’s (CANASA) Alarm Technician Course (ATC)
AED2: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in electronic security or alarm systems.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AEX1: Experience overseeing service and installations performed by contractors.
AEX2: Experience providing installation, servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance and programming of one of the following: Key scan, Matrix access control, ManitouCS, DSC, Surgard alarm, Milestone or IP based camera systems.
AEX3: Experience using AutoCAD LT software to generate multiple layers floor plans.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
NOTE: Although the immediate intent of this poster will be to fill an indeterminate position at the Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB level, applicants should be aware that this selection process may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various linguistic profiles.

CE5: Possession of a valid class-G (Ontario) or Class 5 (Quebec) driver’s license.
Depending on the number of applicants, Department needs and HR plans, volume management strategies such as random selection, top-down approach, and/or cut-off scores MAY be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates.

In the case of an acting appointment, the Public Service Employment Regulations enables the organization to exclude the appointee from respecting official language proficiency when the department is unable to fill the position with an appointment of a person who meets the language proficiency qualification. Candidates who have been fully assessed and found to have met all essential qualifications except official language requirements may update their second-language evaluation (SLE) results for as long as the pool is/pools are valid. N.B.: Each candidate can only undergo SLE testing one time within the context of an appointment process; any update to a candidate's linguistic profile must be as a result of subsequent SLE testing done outside of this appointment process.
