As a Product Officer or Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:
• Playing an active role in supporting the resolution of operational incidents.
• Providing advice and information for the change management process; reviewing client and business requirements and participating in the analysis of changes.
• Planning, organizing and conducting pre-operational analysis.
• Participating in the developing, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures.
• Participating in projects, working groups and team meetings to provide input, contributing to the improvement of service delivery to clients.
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) plays an important role in the daily operations of the Government of Canada as a key provider of services for federal departments and agencies. It supports them in the achievement of their mandated objectives as their central purchasing agent, linguistic authority, real property manager, treasurer, accountant, integrity adviser, and pay and pension administrator. The department's vision is to excel in government operations, and our strategic outcome and mission is to deliver high-quality, central programs and services that ensure sound stewardship on behalf of Canadians and meet the program needs of federal institutions.
This position is part of the directorate responsible for managing the Receiver General payment processes, which represents approximately 297 million payments reaching about two-thirds of adult Canadians. Payments are made to pensioners, public servants, government suppliers, taxpayers and many others. This includes managing the Receiver General payments; managing authorized debits to Receiver General; managing joint federal-provincial payments as well as payments for the Bank of Canada; promoting the use of direct deposit; and working with financial institutions for both domestic and foreign payments, Production Centers, Payments Canada, and Canada Post for payment delivery.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions within the department, various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, specified period, assignment, secondment) in Gatineau, Quebec or Ottawa, Ontario.

Experience in working in a client service environment.

Experience in writing various forms of documentation such as but not limited to procedures, training material, meeting minutes, newsletters, communiqués, user guides or incident reports.
