Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures within the Canadian Forces Housing Agency in Victoria, BC.

Secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

Experience in processing accounts payable or in processing accounts receivable or in account reconciliation.
Experience in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Experience in advising and instructing about finance issues.

Information on language requirements

Knowledge of Financial Administration Act sections 32, 33 and 34.
Knowledge of Treasury Board Travel Regulations and claims procedures.

Ability to analyze and evaluate problems regarding financial issues.
Ability to develop options and develop innovative solutions to problems encountered.
Ability to sort tasks to be accomplished and set priorities.
Ability to reconcile accounts.
Communicate effectively orally.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university OR Graduation with a degree from a recognized college.

Degree equivalency

Experience in carrying out finance procedures within the federal government.
Experience in using the Housing Agency Management Information System (HAMIS).
Experience in using the Oracle finance management system.

Knowledge of federal government procurement and contract procedures.

Ability to put into practice various existing procedures directing finance management practices.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
There is a requirement to limit vacation between the months of May and September.
