The first position to be staffed will be a 2 year term from the CBC/CBC pool.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar AS-05 or equivalent positions within Veterans Affairs Canada in various locations, various security requirements (Reliability, Secret) as well as tenures (Term, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Indeterminate, Deployment), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Acceptable combination of education, training and experience is defined as a secondary school diploma combined with at least five years' experience in the delivery of public service or Canadian Armed Forces programs.
EXPERIENCE
Experience as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Experience in establishing effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Significant* experience in analyzing, interpreting and advising senior management** on complex issues.
Significant* experience in developing policies or directives.
Experience in supervision.
* Significant is defined as being experience in which the person’s primary responsibilities include these duties and refers to the depth and breadth as well as the complexity of tasks that could be expected to have been obtained by carrying out the functions normally over a period of approximately 3 years.
** Senior Management is defined as Director-level or above, or Lieutenant-Colonel or above.
