Occupational Certification:
Inter-provincial (Red Seal) Electrical License as a Journeyperson.
Experience:
Experience in using a variety of computer programs, including MS Word and MS Outlook.
* Recent and **Significant experience working as a journeyperson in the installation and maintenance of electrical devices, wiring, conduits, lighting, motors, controls, power distribution equipment and switch gear.
* Recent is defined as work experience gained within the last 2 years
**Significant is defined as at least 1 year working as a journeyperson

Knowledge of Canadian Coast Guard programs and services

High Angle Rescue certification
A certificate of training or journeyperson certification in a Mechanical trade such as heavy equipment, automotive, millwright or marine diesel mechanic.
Experience in the installation and/or maintenance and/or repair of solar, wind and diesel power generation systems.
Experience in the installation and/or maintenance and/or repair of aids to navigation equipment.
Experience climbing high towers of heights up to 300 ft. and higher.
Experience working with Helicopters.

Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations for extended periods of time
Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations via helicopter, ship, small boat, ATV, and snowmobile.
