To provide strategic leadership, oversight, guidance and technical expertise to ensure effective management of the Federally Regulated Financial Institution (FRFI) data and pension data collected by OSFI in support of Supervision, Regulation and external partner needs as appropriate. In partnership with data users, develops and maintains a data management vision and supporting collection, governance, publication and supporting processes that:
- Delivers quality data necessary to meet approved needs;
- Minimizes OSFI’s cost of ownership and the burden to filers;
- Is reflective of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) principles;
- Keeps pace with data management best practices as part of OSFI’s long term IM/IT strategy.
The immediate need is to staff one position with a language requirement of bilingual imperative CBC/CBC on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting, etc.) and/or security requirements (reliability, secret, etc.) within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EDUCATION
- University degree in business, public policy, commerce, mathematics, computer science, or other related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Significant** experience in managing large volumes of data supported by the establishment of supporting policies, processes and governance.
- Significant** experience in conducting analysis using financial data.
- Recent* and significant** experience in successfully brokering ideas and managing conflicting stakeholder needs.
- Recent* and significant** experience leading or chairing multi-agency or multi-departmental committees.
- Recent* and significant** experience leading teams or managing people.
* Recent is defined as having been acquired in the last 5 years.
** Significant is defined as the breadth and depth of experience which is normally acquired with having directly performed the duties for a minimum of 3 years.
ASSET EDUCATION
- Master’s level degree in areas of business, public policy, commerce, mathematics, computer science, or other related field.
- Certified Project Management (PMP)
