This process will be used to indeterminately staff the positions mentioned below.
A pool of candidates may be established to staff similar positions within the Correctional Service Canada or within Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Linguistic profiles and/or requirements as well as tenures may vary according to the position being staffed.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in a discipline relevant to the position (such as but not limited to business, public administration, commerce, or economics).
EXPERIENCE
Approximately two (2) years of experience obtained within the last five (5) years in the conduct of audits.
Experience in communicating with management through oral presentations, briefings, or the conduct of interviews.
Experience in drafting or revising audit-related written material (such as reports, sections of reports or briefing notes).
Experience in developing audit plans, programs or tools.
ASSET EDUCATION
A professional internal auditing designation (CIA, CGAP, CISA), or proof of successful completion of at least one of the three CIA exams.
A recognized Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA: CA, CMA or CGA).
ASSET EXPERIENCE
Experience in data analytics.
Experience in using audit software such as TeamMate, ACL or IDEA.
Experience in the conduct of internal audits in the Canadian federal government.

Knowledge of the Treasury Board Internal Audit Policy Suite and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for Internal Audit.
Knowledge of internal audit methodologies and procedures.

Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving priorities/requirements.

While the work is normally carried out within an office environment, an incumbent also needs to be willing and able to conduct field visits to laboratories, correctional facilities, remote sites and other non-traditional environments.
