Duties

CR 04 Positions:
Various positions providing some or all of the following services for the Fredericton Research and Development Centre or Saskatoon Research and Development Centre:
-Provide Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general financial support
-Provide travel arrangements
-Provide general administrative duties such as but not limited to mailroom, shipping and receiving, ordering office supplies, etc

Work environment

The Corporate Management Branch is responsible for providing support through the provision of timely, accurate and relevant information, services, advice, and guidance.

Intent of the process

Immediate need: To staff an Administration Clerk position (English essential) on a full time permanent basis at the Saskatoon Research and Development Centre.

Anticipatory: A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on a permanent full-time or part-time basis or on a temporary full-time or part-time basis for the locations indicated for this process.

In the event that an employee of the public service is qualified through this process, he/she may be considered for acting, deployment, assignment or secondment opportunities.

Secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience working in MSWord and MSExcel.

Experience in providing administrative services such as but not limited to preparing correspondence, reports, or documents; providing travel arrangements; providing information; maintaining electronic or hard copy records; filing, processing mail, or reception.

Experience in providing client service.

Successful completion of post-secondary classes in accounting.

Degree equivalency

Experience using SAP within the Government of Canada.

Experience working as an accounts payable clerk.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

May vary with the position being staffed but could include:
-A valid driver’s license.
-Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
-Ability and willingness to lift materials up to 30 kg.
-The successful candidate must obtain certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, within the first month of employment and maintain a valid certificate throughout employment in this position (certificate must be updated every 3 years).
