Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec (CED) is looking for a Programmer / System analyst in downtown Montreal. Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to staff a term (temporary) position until December 2018. A pool of candidates could be created to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles and duration (temporary and permanent) .

Information on language requirements

Our IT team is looking for a person who possess the following education and experience. In your curriculum vitae, please demonstrate that you have these qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Two years of an acceptable postsecondary program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training and experience relevant to the position to be staffed

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

▪ Recent and significant experience* of using at least one programming language, such as Java, JSP, PHP, C / C++, C# or Python.

▪ Experience in at least one(1) of the following areas :
- Web application development
- Large-scale software installation( Example : Financial system)
- Large-scale application support (Example : Financial system)

▪ Experience in the use of relational databases and SQL Language.

** Recent and significant experience is considered depending on its depth, scope and complexity over a period of about six (6) months in the past two (2) years.

If your application is screened in, you may be invited to take part in an exam, an interview and/or a reference check to demonstrate your know-how related to the knowledge and competencies below:

KNOWLEDGE:

▪ Knowledge of the Windows 7+ operating system (workstations) and Windows 2008 (server)

▪ Knowledge of database management systems and the Oracle SQL and PL/SQL languages

▪ Knowledge of the principles of IT project management

▪ Knowledge of system development/integration procedures

▪ Significant experience** with a system of grants and contributions

▪ Significant experience** with a financial system

▪ Experience to configure and customize Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)

▪ Significant experience** in developing applications in Oracle APEX version 4+

▪ Experience with the administration of web servers (Apache HTTP Server or Apache Tomcat)

▪ Significant experience** to configure and customize Microsoft SharePoint 2013

▪ Experience with Oracle BI Publisher

** Significant experience is defined as extensive and varied experience in executing various complex activities for about six (6) months.
