Stream A. POLICY DEVELOPMENT:
Development of policy frameworks, tools, legislation and regulatory as well as the provision of analysis/options; provision of policy advice and legislative initiatives.
Stream B. PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
Development and integration of departmental policy, programs, strategies, approaches and processes to the transportation portfolio for senior management and/or external stakeholders.
Stream C. REGULATORY DESIGN:
Leadership, governance and oversight of the continuous development of regulatory process, and the management, control, promulgation and publication of regulations and standards for management, employees, Cabinet committees and the regulated community; as well as research and analysis that will contribute to a safe and secure transportation system.

This is an exciting year as we celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday and Transport Canada’s 80th year serving Canadians.
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) leads the management of Canada’s fisheries and the safeguarding of Canadian waters. The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), a Special Operating Agency within DFO, is responsible for services and programs that contribute to the safety, security, and accessibility of Canada’s waterways. With over 10,000 dedicated employees in over 400 locations across Canada, our Department is often the only federal presence in smaller coastal and remote communities. In January 2017, the Department received special recognition as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.
The intent of this process is to establish an inventory of candidates to staff identical or similar positions at Transport Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Natural Resources Canada across Canada with various tenures, language requirements and security requirements.

The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.)

• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social science, statistics or a law-related field.
