Duties

The IM/IT Strategic Management group is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Portfolio and Planning Analyst. The incumbent will be accountable for providing support to the Manager IM/IT Planning for annual planning activities (strategic, operational, financial, HR); conducting studies and research; and supporting senior governing bodies, by preparing meeting agendas, records of decision, and meeting materials. The incumbent will serve as the secretary to the IM/IT Change Advisory Committee (CAB) and the Architecture Review Board (ARB), overseeing System Change Requests (RFCs) and endorsing their advancement through governance using an IT System Management tool. As well, the incumbent will play an integral role in coaching IM/IT staff on OSFI’s Change and Release management processes, and provide support for annual leadership development learning events.

OSFI’s IM/IT Division manages a diverse portfolio of in-house and externally-hosted business applications and services that enable our supervisory and regulatory mandate and supporting functions. Our core technologies are predominantly Microsoft based. We have a broad enterprise information management program that is aligned with the Government of Canada’s policy framework. Our work environment is fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic and challenging. Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position for an indeterminate period.

A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting, etc.), linguistic requirements (English Essential, Bilingual Imperative), linguistic profiles (CBC/CBC, BBB/BBB, etc.) and/or security requirements (reliability, secret, etc.) within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EXPERIENCE
1. Experience in implementing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices within an organization

3. Experience coordinating meetings and IM/IT governance activities
4. Experience maintaining documentation within an electronic documentation system or an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool
5. Experience coaching others on IM/IT Change Management (ITCM) processes
6. Experience supporting a Project Management Office (PMO)
