EDUCATION
Stream 1 and Stream 2
Successful completion of Secondary School diploma or an acceptable combination of training, education, or experience relevant to the discipline.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Stream 1
Valid Certification as Master, Near Coastal.
Stream 2
Successful completion of acceptable specialized training related to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Stream 1 and Stream 2
Significant* experience in the delivery or support to the delivery of Marine Operations.
Stream 1
Experience in providing advice and recommendations on operational issues in Search and Rescue (SAR).
Experience providing training sessions associated to Search and Rescue (SAR).
Stream 2
Experience in providing advice and recommendations on operational issues in Environmental Response (ER).
Experience providing training sessions associated to Environmental Response (ER).
*Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of or complex related activities for approximately 2 years.
EDUCATION
Stream 1 and Stream 2
Successful completion of a Post-Secondary School diploma relevant to the position.
ASSET OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Stream 1
Possession of a valid master near coastal (or above) certificate of competency
EXPERIENCE
Stream 1 and Stream 2
Experience as an instructor or a trainer.
Stream 1
Experience in Search and Rescue operations with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) or with another private or public organization.
Stream 2
Experience in Environmental Response operations with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), a Response Organization or with another private or public organization.
Various language requirements
The immediate need is to staff Bilingual Imperative positions requiring BBB/BBB. However, a pool of qualified candidates resulting from this process may be used to fill similar positions with various language requirements, (including bilingual, English Essential and French Essential positions)

KNOWLEDGE
Stream 1 and Stream 2
Knowledge of the certification program and training requirements associated to the operations of Canadian Coast Guard (CCG).
Stream 1
