Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory selection process and the intent of this process is for indeterminate and term appointment.

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). Various linguistic profiles requirement as well as tenures and/or security clearance may vary according to the position being staffed.

The pool could be used to offer acting appointments, assignment, secondment or deployment under exceptional circumstances in order to protect employee's indeterminate status.

EDUCATION:

• Graduation with a degree (baccalaureate or higher level degree) from a recognized post-secondary institution.
OR
• An acceptable combination of education, training and experience defined as a high school diploma, relevant training and at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience (i.e. items listed under Essential Experience and/or asset criteria of the Statement of Merit Criteria, or any other related experience).
OR
• An acceptable combination of education, training and experience defined as completing 2 years post-secondary education, relevant training and at least five (5) years of relevant work experience (i.e. items listed under Essential Experience and/or asset criteria of the Statement of Merit Criteria, or any other related experience).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

• Significant* and recent** experience managing the delivery of a service or program.
• Significant* and recent** experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to Senior management.
• Significant* and recent** experience in engaging and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners and clients.
• Experience in networking and consulting with stakeholders who are internal and external to the organization.
• Experience in managing Human and Financial resources.
