A condition of employment for this position is Registration in Ontario as a Psychologist or Psychological Associate with recognized competence in clinical psychology.
The complete requirements for registration as either a psychologist or psychological associate are set out in the Registration Regulations of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) is hiring psychologists for our operational unit in Petawawa, Ontario. About 160km from Ottawa, the psychologists hired will work out of the Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR) in Petawawa.
This is an opportunity to apply your psychological training and expertise in support of an important and exciting Command as it faces the challenges of our world today. We are seeking clinical psychologists to provide clinical services to CF members and to conduct selection screenings.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established for future needs.

Graduation with a master's or doctoral degree from a recognized university with a specialization in adult clinical psychology or equivalent (equivalence in training would be determined by the provincial registration/licensing body).
Registered in a Canadian province or territory as a Psychologist or Psychological Associate with recognized competence in clinical psychology.

Information on language requirements
• Significant* and recent** experience in psycho-diagnostic assessment services provided to adults, including differential diagnosis.
• Significant* and recent** experience in providing cognitive behavioural therapy.
* Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities in an adult mental health care environment which would normally be acquired over a period of approximately 2 years.
** Recent is defined as within the last five years.
• Ability to provide evidence-based psycho-diagnostic and cognitive assessments.
• Ability to implement evidence-based therapeutic intervention including the ability to deliver and evaluate cognitive behavioural treatment interventions.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to work within an inter-disciplinary team model.

• Experience working with mental health patients with emphasis on PTSD/trauma.
• Experience in neuropsychology, rehabilitation or health psychology.
