This process is managed by the Public Service Commission (PSC) of Canada on behalf of federal departments and agencies.

If you qualify, you may be contacted for positions as they become available (applicants do not apply to a specific job). If contacted, candidates may be further assessed, if deemed necessary, for the job to be filled.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience providing client services in person, by phone or in writing;

Experience using word processing (e.g. MS Word) and spreadsheet software programs (e.g. MS Excel).

-Experience in performing financial support functions (e.g. cashing and registering funds, managing petty cash, verifying or preparing invoices, etc.);

Conditions of employment

Various security and/or medical requirements depending on the position to be staffed.The hiring organization is responsible for the security and, if necessary, medical clearance process.

Other conditions may apply depending on the position being staffed, such as but not limited to: requirement to work overtime on short notice, requirement to travel within Canada, requirement to work shifts, etc.

Tests

Cognitive Ability - Level 1

Applicants must complete the Unsupervised Internet Test of Cognitive Ability - Level 1 as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses general problem solving and reasoning ability. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.

Other information

Education: The employer-approved alternative is a satisfactory score on the PSC(General Intelligence Test 320 (GIT-320)). If you do not have a secondary school diploma, you will be invited to this test.
