We also offer human resources shared services to other small agencies and departments. In your role as a Compensation and Benefits Advisor, you will be providing support to the clients, employees and HR colleagues.

This is an inventory of candidates to staff similar positions of various tenures, security requirements and linguistic profiles and requirements to be used by Public Service Departments in the National Capital Region.
Casual employment is a temporary form of employment for a maximum of 90 working days per department, in a calendar year, to meet needs arising from vacation, sick leave, training, special projects, etc. A casual worker may not apply to internal job opportunities.
Term employment is a temporary form of employment for a fixed period of time.

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
-Significant and recent* experience in the provision of compensation services within the Federal Public Service.
-Significant and recent* experience in the application of compensation and benefits acts, regulations, rules and procedures.
-Experience in the use of the computer systems in the Compensation and Benefits area.
* Significant and recent experience means at least 12 months experience within the last 3 years.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the acts, regulations, collective agreements, policies and procedures relevant to compensation and benefits

EXPERIENCE
Experience in the use of the following computer systems in the Compensation and Benefits area: PeopleSoft/MyGCHR, the Regional Pay System (RPS) and Phoenix.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of pension plan, supplementary death benefits and disability insurance.
