The Regional Ecosystems Management Branch is mandated to ensure the conservation and protection of freshwater and marine ecosystems in the Quebec region through the implementation of policies resulting from federal legislation. Our structure has four main components: Oceans Management Division; Fisheries Protection Division, Regulatory Reviews; Fisheries Protection Division, Client Liaison, Partnerships, Standards and Guidelines; Species at Risk Management Division. Ecosystems Management regularly conducts the appointment of Bi-02 candidates for term and undetermined employment.

Degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in biological sciences.
Relevant work experience in the management or conservation of living natural resources.
Relevant work experience on species and natural environments.

Recognized master's degree relevant to the job requirements.
Good working experience on species and freshwater environments.
Good working experience on species and marine environments.
Good working experience with various stakeholders or partners from outside the organization.

Good working experience in providing advice on strategies and methods for resolving regulatory issues.
Good working experience in developing tools, regulations, standards or guidelines for carrying out human activities in aquatic environments (freshwater or marine environment).
Good working experience in writing technical and scientific documents in a field relating to the position.
