1: Your main responsibilities will be to prepare meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for a volume of 15 to 25 people and to place orders.
🍳2: You will also be responsible for the supervision and training of inmates, the maintenance and cleaning of the kitchen, the daily follow-up of quality assurance forms.
The work environment is in a federal penitentiary for women. You will have to work in a production kitchen.
The work schedule may vary from Monday to Sunday on a full-time basis.
The intent of this posting is to create a pool of candidates for the summer leave period for temporary needs via a casual contract at the Joliette Institution.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Professional culinary arts diploma or acceptable combination of education, training, and experience .
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in food purchasing and inventory control.
- Experience in preparing food orders and liaising with suppliers.
- Experience working as a cook in an institutional or commercial setting.
EDUCATION:
• Professional culinary arts diploma or a professional diploma related to the position.
• Possession of a valid recognized Safe Food Handling Program certification.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working in a correctional environment (institutional or community office).
