Campground/Janitorial Student (SU-01)
Perform a variety of duties to ensure parks facilities and campgrounds are clean and maintained for our visitors, including tasks such as lawn mowing, grass trimming, painting, and more. Greet visitors and provide information and orientation related to facilities, services, programs, regulations, and safety precautions. Collect revenue using a point-of-sale system and complete daily sales deposits.
Student Visitor Service Attendants (SU-02) – Visitor Information Centre / Entrance Kiosk / Camping
Welcome visitors in person or over the phone and give them information and directions regarding facilities, services, programs, events and regulations. Record, process and collect fees, issue permits, make reimbursements, sell and assign campsites where applicable. Work with a cash register, compile and record statistical data, fill out forms, sales reports, and bank deposits, and use a computer system or point of sale and booking system, helps with the sale of firewood.
Visitor Information Program (VIP) Survey Attendant (SU-03)
Conduct short interviews with visitors and distribute surveys at various locations throughout the national park. Approach and engage visitors to take part in a visitor survey and motivate them to complete the survey to provide valuable feedback for Parks Canada. Maintain detailed and accurate survey records. Perform as required other visitor services duties such as visitor reception at kiosks and visitor centres, compliance checks throughout the park, etc.

The intent of this process is to hire students for summer 2025.
The results may also be used in the future to fill other temporary student vacancies that may arise in the Western Newfoundland and Labrador Field Unit, in various locations, with full or part-time hours for various tenures, depending on status of the selected candidate.

• Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent), or a graduated licence, if applicable to the position
