Work environment

The Technical Services of institutions in the Quebec region at the Correctional Service of Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment and his mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of the prison complex. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, electrical and mechanical systems, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants to name only those.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION :

Qualified under the Boiler and Pressure Vessel regulations of the Province of employment for the operation of any boilers in the employer’s workplace that this position may be responsible for operating as a shift engineer. Minimum Power Engineer Certification requirement is fourth (4th) class, with a third (3rd) class or better required at some sites.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in operating high pressure steam and/or distribution power plants in a manufacturing, industrial or institutional environment.

Conditions of employment

Reliability and Security: Reliability status.
Valid driver’s license.
Requirement to lift and carry items weighing up to 23 kg utilizing basic safe lifting techniques.
Candidate must maintain valid occupational certification associated with the specific trade.
