RCMP, BC Highway Patrol offices are located in various communities around our beautiful vast province. Our positions involve supporting all aspects of operations for BCHP. In some units you may be part of a larger team of Public Service Employees (PSEs), in some units you may be the only PSE. Tasks are often varied, while working in a fast paced, ever changing environment. As an employee of the RCMP, you may be exposed to various types of multi-media that some may find upsetting.
Remote working is not a possibility with these position(s).
This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.
Anticipatory.
A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies (including terms, actings, casuals, assignments and secondments) in similar-level positions (at full or part-time hours, including shift-work). Interested persons must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to the position, in a manner determined by the Selection Board. A person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
