Employment dates range from May/June 2025 to early September 2025. You must be available to work throughout all the summer season to be selected for a student position.
$17.36 to $27.68 per hour (Salary to be determined based on the level of education required by the student employment categories and the completed current academic level.)

- Registered as a full time or part-time secondary or post secondary student in an accredited academic program; or

Cleans and maintains Parks Canada Agency buildings/facilities and grounds at Fundy National Park to enhance the visitor experience.

EDUCATION:

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in providing cleaning services (this includes any voluntary experience);
• Experience in going above and beyond to fulfill expectations;
• Experience in dealing with difficult situations, whether it be cleaning or people related, to achieve a positive outcome.

ABILITIES:
. Deal with the public, respond to questions and provide information;
. Follow instructions;
. Work independently with minimal supervision;
. Working collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve organizational goals;
. Perform minor operational maintenance tasks (e.g. – replacing light bulbs, tightening door handles/hinges);
. Perform lifting/moving of items for cleaning (e.g. – flipping mattresses and lifting hinged bedframe);
. Concern for Safety by identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate actions to maintain a safe environment for self and others;
. Initiative in dealing with situations and issues proactively. Seizing opportunities that arise.

PERSONAL SUITABILITY:

. Adaptable and excels in dealing with change in the face of fluctuating workloads;
.Takes responsibility for their actions.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - You are required to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security clearance.

• You will be required to possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent.
• You must be willing to work overtime.
• You will be required to work shiftwork, and/or weekends, and/or statutory holidays and/or provincial/territorial holidays as scheduled by your supervisor. Compensation will be as prescribed in the Terms and Conditions of Employment applicable to you.
• You must be willing to work and travel in a variety of terrains and weather conditions in the performance of your duties.
• You will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• You are required to wear a uniform, which is provided, while performing your duties.
• You must be available to work from mid-June to Labour day.
