CanNor is looking to fill a Manager, Economic Development position for its Operations branch in Iqaluit (Nunavut). This position is perfect for someone with an interest in business or economic development and who enjoys working with a team of innovative, dedicated staff.
There may also be an anticipatory need to fill a manager's position for the Northern Projects Management Office (NPMO) located in Iqaluit (Nunavut).
The salary range for the CO-03 position is $98,709 to $124,924. In addition, the selected candidates will also be entitled to:
- A northern allowance of approximately $25,059/year to $44,641/year*.
- Vacation travel assistance of approximately $2,137 (per adult) and $2,137(per child) for employee and eligible dependents, including spouse/common-law partner, twice per year*.

EDUCATION
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position OR through an alternative - an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, that is comparable to a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the work to be performed.
EXPERIENCES
EX1: Significant* experience in the delivery of social, economic or business development programs or projects;
EX2: Significant* experience in providing advice to senior management** on complex issues;
EX3: Experience in consulting, negotiating or building strategic partnerships with officials in one or more of the following: private or not-for-profit sectors; Inuit, First Nations, Métis communities; government organizations; and
EX4: Experience in managing human resources.
* "Significant experience" is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various related activities which are normally acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years.
** "Senior Management" is defined as Director level and above.
ASSET EXPERIENCES
AEX1: Experience working in the North, preferably Nunavut, Northwest Territories or Yukon;
