Provides general maintenance, repair and labour services to support grounds, roads and facilities maintenance, water systems maintenance; construction and installations; and other general maintenance and semi-skilled repair requirements for the Parks Canada Agency.
Nestled beneath the International Bridge in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, the Sault Ste. Marie Canal was built to bypass the rapids on the St. Marys River. Opened in 1895, the canal completed an all Canadian waterway featuring the longest lock in the world and the first to operate using electricity. The site’s recreational lock, historic sandstone buildings, picturesque grounds, and unique Emergency Swing Dam make it a magnet for tourists and locals alike.

• Experience in performing semi-skilled and general maintenance and repair, particularly in the area of grounds maintenance
• Experience in the operation, maintenance and servicing of equipment, fleet and tools
• Experience in service and maintenance records keeping/logs
