This process will be used to fill various administrative positions for temporary (casual) and specified period (term) within the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer. Below is a brief description of the main positions to be staffed.
ELECTORAL COORDINATION OFFICER
- Assist in reviewing materials for electoral events.
- Analyze processes from past elections and suggest administrative improvements.
- Assist with training and information sessions for new officers.
- Collect data, create and maintain records, and prepare documents and reports.
TEAM LEAD
- Support managers in planning future electoral events and special projects.
- Supervise the work of enquiries officers or call centre agents and help resolve issues.
- Monitor incoming calls and social media messages and prepare statistical reports.
- Organize and update election-related reference and training materials.
ADMINSTRATIVE OFFICER
- Conduct research and gather information on various topics for managers.
- Prepare correspondence, documents and reports, which may include preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes.
- Develop, implement and maintain administrative procedures and practices.
- Provide information and support to managers and employees on administrative requirements.
- Some positions could be in the financial area and could include the following duties:
- Provide support services in financial activities such as preparing financial reports, monitoring compliance and proceeding with data entry in the financial system.
FIELD SUPPORT NETWORK OFFICER
-Search and analyze information from websites and other information sources and prepare responses to complex inquiries.
-Summarize and input information to the management system and contribute to the development and review of procedures, processes and tools.
-Provide ongoing operational guidance and coaching to staff.

CENTRAL, MODERN AND UNIQUE OFFICES
Depending on your position, you will work in one of our offices in Gatineau or Ottawa.
Our building at 30 Victoria Street in Gatineau is in the heart of downtown, with several restaurants nearby. It has modern facilities featuring collaborative workspaces. There’s also a locker room with showers and secure indoor bike storage.
The warehouse at 440 Coventry Road in Ottawa is the workplace of our Alternative Voting Methods team. It also houses our Distribution Centre. There are many benefits to this location as well, such as free parking, easy access to public transit and reserved space for bikes. Plus, the St. Laurent Shopping Centre, just next door, offers a variety of amenities.
The intent of this process is to staff temporary (casual) and specified period (term) bilingual and unilingual positions for a period between 3 to 12 months. Please note that we will consider only candidates available for a job offer of 12 months or less.
A pool of qualified bilingual and unilingual candidates may be established to fill positions at the same or equivalent group and level at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, on a temporary (casual) and specified period (term) basis.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEED
