➨Position Title: Maintenance Tradesperson

Responsibilities: The role involves providing general maintenance (corrective and preventive), construction work and, in some institutions, minor service of vehicles and/or grounds keeping services. This can embrace a range of specific tasks, including providing services as a relief officer for maintenance shops, grounds, labor, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, metal, paint, masonry, service plant, composter and garage (which are considered maintenance activities or part of the maintenance shop) for a CSC institution, and for providing the necessary training to offenders.

➥CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

•Security: Reliability status.
•Must be willing and able to work and lift tools, equipment and objects weighing at least 50 lbs when required (Candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition).
•Must be willing and able to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
•Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license.
